SSS Wednesday Challenge Entry: Hero Arts Products
Good day, fellow crafters. I am delighted to share my entry for this week's Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge with you. The challenge theme is to create a design using exclusively products from Hero Arts' line, which is perfect for me as I am a huge fan of their range. I am excited to rise to this challenge and showcase my creation. I hope you find it enjoyable.
To create this fun little card I began with the Blue background first. I decided to use the Hero Arts Blowing in the Wind Bold Print (CG756), clear ink and some White embossing powder to create what to my eye looks like a field of dandelions ready to blow away at any minute. I then matted that with some Red cardstock and adhered them to a pre-cut White card base.
I next focused on the foreground by stamping the adorable mouse image from the Hero Arts Hero Greetings Make a Wish (CL125) stamp set on white card stock with Gina K’s Amalgam ink in Chocolate Truffle then used my Copic markers to color it and Black and White Gel pens to highlight. Unfortunately this stamp set either doesn’t have a corresponding die or I just don’t seem to have it so I fussy cut around the image and then set it aside. I next cut some more White cardstock with a scalloped and stitched die to which I adhered the mouse image and then to give the foreground some pop of color I choose a rectangular mat of Red cardstock.
I then used the same Red cardstock for the sentiment which after I cut it out I stamped with clear ink and heat embossed with the same White embossing powder as used in the background. The sentiment itself was also from the Make a Wish stamp set. Overall, this card is a wonderful example of the joy that can be found in the art of card-making and the delight it can bring to both the maker and the recipient.
