Simon Says Stamp Adding Texture Challenge

Good day fellow crafters. Below is my entry for the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. This challenge is about adding texture which gave me a chance to play with a few 3D embossing folders before making the design choice you see below. I hope you enjoy it.

To create this card, I began by selecting White cardstock and Lindsay's Magical Powders (Apothecary Azure, Petticoat Plum, and Pretty in Pink) to produce a watercolor effect for the background. To avoid cracking, I misted the back of the paper and passed it through my die machine inside Altenew's Pink Perfection Camellia 3D embossing folder, which resulted in gorgeous flowers. I then mounted the background on Black cardstock with White cardstock bands at the top and bottom to create a framing effect. Next, I added a wide Purple mat followed by a thin Black mat.

For the sentiment, I used the Altenew Featured Sentiment Die set and Black cardstock and added a stamped sentiment from my collection using clear ink and heat embossed with Nuvo Classic Silver embossing powder.
