My Favorite Things Weekly Sketch Challenge

Greetings fellow crafters, here is my entry for the My Favorite Things Weekly Sketch Challenge. Layout MFTWSC638 was this week's challenge, which you can find on their site by clicking on the link below my entry. I had so many ideas left from Valentines that I had sketched out that when I saw the layout for this challenge I thought what a great way to break up a background I was planning to use anyway and get a whole new look at the same time. I hope you enjoy it.

As a starting point, I mounted a piece of smooth White card stock on top of a Red card stock mat and adhered them to a pre-cut A2 White card stock base. I then used the My Favorite Things Never Ending Love Background and white card stock along with Ranger’s Distress Oxide in Picked Raspberry and Kitsch Flamingo to stamp out the main verticle elements for this week’s template. I gave each verticle piece a run through the die machine using the Dress My Craft Scalloped Mini Slimeline Die set and adhered them to the card base.

The Gnome and sentiment were both created using MFT’s Love You Gnome Matter What stamp set and a VersaMark Clair Noctorine pigment ink. The Gnome was colored in with my Copic markers. I fussy cut this cute little guy out and surface-mounted it to the card base. I stamped and colored in the little hearts he is throwing and for some sparkle used 6mm Red Heart Droplets from Kat Scrappiness.
