My Favorite Things Color Challenge #209
Good day fellow crafters. I'm excited to share with you my submission for the My Favorite Things Color Challenge #209. As a passionate creator of cards and papercrafts, I'm constantly challenged to explore new ideas through these contests. I feel as if my entry reflects my love for this craft and I hope it sparks your interest in participating too. I invite you to enjoy my submission.
Regrettably, the colors required for the challenge were not available in my existing collection. However, I plan to acquire them soon. In the meantime, I decided that I would utilize Gina K Passionate Pink, Simon Says Stamp Piggyback, and Altenew Shadow Creek and Pinkalicious to achieve a color match as close as possible.
Once I had carefully chosen the perfect colors for both the ink and cardstock, I set to work. I started by stamping the vibrant Green leaves from the MFT Topical Flowers stamp set onto a sheet of White cardstock. Once the leaves were in place, I carefully cut the cardstock to size and mounted it onto a Pink cardstock mat. Finally, I attached the completed background and mat onto a pre-cut A2 white card base, creating the foundation for the rest of my design.
Using a layering technique, I built up each flower with care and once complete, I fussy cut around each individual petal before arranging and securing them onto the background. In order to add depth and dimension to the flowers, I gently curled the petals and affixed a dazzling flat-back gem to the center of each one.
The finishing touch came in the form of a heartfelt sentiment, crafted from double stacked Black cardstock and the MFT Blessed die-cut. The result was a work of art that I'm proud to share as with you.
