My Favorite Things Ready, Set, Christmas! Challenge

Good day fellow crafters. Below is my entry into the My Favorite Things Ready, Set, Christmas! Challenge. This was the first time I have done a challenge for a holiday theme outside of the actual holiday so it was a great change of pace. I hope you enjoy it.

My Favorite Things Ready, Set, Christmas Challenge

To start this card I first used the MFT Polka Dot party background stamp inked with Versamark embossing ink. I then covered the stamped image using WOW! White Puff embossing powder and set wth my heat gun. On top of the embossing, I ink blended with Distress Oxide Prize Ribbon and Chipped Sapphire. To give it a little highlight I also added Villianous Poision and darkened the edges with Black Soot. After drying I buffed off the embossing powder with a microfiber towel to get the snow fall result you see on the card.

MFT’s Special Delivery from Santa stamp and die set was used to create the right jolly old elf to which color was then added using alcohol markers. For the snow drifts I used MFT’s Drifts and Hills stencil and highlighted the edges with more of the Black Soot Distressed Oxide to give some added dimension. The sentiment was from the same stamp and die set.

I finally adheared all the pieces to the background, used a gray cardstock as a mat then placed them on an pre-cut A2 Vanilla card base.
