Ink Blending Card
Good day fellow crafters. Today I present to you an ink-blending project that I completed today. I really liked the transitions the blended ink created as it was worked. I hope you enjoy it.
To create the background for this card I started with a White card stock and the Persian Motifs stamp set from Altenew. The flowers in this set really spoke to me and I just had to use them. To get the effect you see on the card I used VersaMark clear ink which I covered with White embossing powder and then heat set it to use as an ink resist. From there, I ink-blended Altenew’s Enchanted Gold pigment ink over the embossed designs and then buffed off the excess ink, so the white shined.
The background was then cut to size and matted with Black card stock. I think that the rounded corners help to provide an elegant appearance so I carried it through the whole card including the pre-cut A2 White card base.
The sentiment is a golden “puffy sticker” from Spellbinders. I think it almost looks like the "Congratulations” mylar balloons you see at parties. To enhance the sentiment I decided to use the Treat Lable Piercing Element from Fun Stampers Journey. To complete the card I added a Butterfly sticker that I found in a Dollar Tree sticker pack.
