Good day, fellow crafters. Today I present to you my submission to the IG hop Themed Fridays, number # 24! The theme today is Interactive projects! This card can be shaken, folded, spun, slid, or maybe it lights up! If you are inspired to participate please be sure to add the #themed_fridays_card_making_fun to your post. We would love to see what you come up with. If you’d like to join our fun little group please DM @touchofmagik on Instagram. I hope you enjoy.

To create this card I first began by going through all of my tropical stamps and die sets and in the end I kitbashed a couple of them together to develop the scene for the card. I say kitbashing because the stamp sets on the left and right in the image above came from two separate My Monthly Hero Arts sets and are from several different years.

Starting with the background panel, I first divided the cardstock into three unequal areas. Using some Mint Tape I masked each area off and ink-blended it. First I did the golden sun, then using the ocean waves stencil in the center, I created my midground. Lastly, I used the HoneyBee Stamps Sandy Shore stamp for the beach in the foreground. Lastly, I trimmed the background panel to its final dimensions and then using my Gemini and a Hero Arts rectangular die cut a brown mat to enforce the naturalness of the scene.

The palm tree trunks were then stamped onto the background panel and highlighted with some black marker pen. I then cut the palm leaves from some green cardstock and using Bearly Arts liquid glue, adhered them into place. The background panel was then adhered to the mat with some liquid glue and then the composite was adhered to a white card base with double-sided adhesive.

Next, I stamped the image of the Hula dancer from the Hero Arts Vintage Paradise set, second from the left, and the Tiki head from the MMHA set on the left and then colored each of them with Prismacolor colored pencils. Once again using liquid glue I adhered the Tiki head into place. The Hula dancer was where my interactive part came into play. Using liquid glue I adhered the image to a wobbler and then adhered that to the background panel with more glue and the self-stick backing of the wobble. You can see how it works in the video down below this post.

The very last step was to stamp the sentiment with VersaMark watermark ink, added WoW! Black embossing powder, and then heat set it with my heat tool. With that, I called the card complete.
