Get Lucky: SSS Monday Challenge

Good day, fellow crafters. May I present to you my entry for this week’s Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge? If you aren’t familiar with this challenge then be sure to follow the link below my entry for all of the rules and the inspiration pieces created by their team of designers. The inspiration for this week’s challenge is Get Lucky and nothing says lucky more to me than a four-leaf clover, so I came up with this layout. I hope you enjoy.

To create this card I first began with Simon Hurley’s Later Gator, Overzealous, and Fake Plant inks that I blended together until I got the shade of Green I was looking to see. Once it was dried I used my VersaMark Clear ink with my Shamrock Background stamp and Gold embossing powder that I heat set to finish the background of the card.

I decided that with this card I would try something different and choose to offset the background this time. So using my Hero Arts Rounded Corner Rectangle die I cut the background and a Black mat, adhered them together, then offset them on a Kraft-colored pre-cut A2 card base.

The sentiment was created using the Taylored Expressions Shake your Shamrock stamp set on Black cardstock, which I also stamped with the VersaMark clear ink and heat embossed with more Gold embossing powder. I then cut out the sentiment and adhered it to the background.
