Altenew March 2023 Inspiration Challenge
During this gloomy part of the year here where I live, not quite winter not quite spring, having the natural colors of the world outside to draw upon made me excited to give this challenge a try. Below is the first in the series of entries for this challenge that I am submitting.
To start this card I used Altenew’s Classic Pine Stencil (Part A) layered on top of a piece of 110lb white card stock and inked in Altenew’s Just Green crisp dye ink. As soon as the Misty Moor dye ink had dried, I inked the Classic Pine Stencil (Part B) using Altenew's Hazelnut crisp dye inks. With some double sided adhesive I then mounted the inked card stock to some dark green card stock to form a matted effect and then mounted that to a previously bi-folded 4”x6” brown cardstock base.
To complete the card, I adhered the “Warm Winters Wishes” sentiment from Altenew’s Modern Deer stamp set, stamped in VersaFine’s Clair pigment ink on a piece of the same green card stock I used for the mat and cut out with a die from my collection.
