Crafting my Mother’s Day 2023 Cards

Greetings, fellow crafters. If you're anything like me, you find that your days don't just end quickly, but also run together. Even when I am trying to have fun at the same time, I can back myself into a corner trying to finish my projects on time. As a result, I wanted to get started early on my Mother's Day cards this year. This project is my effort to bring you something I hope you will enjoy.

As a background, I used my Taylored Expressions Braided embossing folder along with Broken China Distress Oxide ink. I really like how this combination turned out. I actually thought it reminded me of a quilt my grandmother had in her home when I was a child. The flowers were created by stamping with VersaFine Clair Nocturne black pigment ink and a Picket Fence Carnations stamp and die set then water colored with paint I had on hand.. The sentiment came from the Hero Arts Mother's Day Bouquet stamp set. The envelope, which I oversized to account for the three-dimensional design, was part of a value pack of paper that I picked up at my local Michaels.
