Stamptember - Winter Edition
An Instagram Hop
Good day, fellow crafters. Today I present to you my submission to the Winter Stamptember Instagram card hop hosted by @kellysantidesigns and @touchofmagik. This card hop includes talented fans that are featuring their favorite winter and holiday Stamptember sets from the past to the present. If you would like to see more of the entries, head over to IG and check out the hashtag #winterstamptembercardhop2023. Be sure to give all the talented designers some love. I hope you enjoy.
To create this card I decided that I would use the Simon Says Stamp Stamptember set from 2023, featured left. I really love florals and this set is not only beautiful but lends itself easily to be crafted in many different media. Today’s card for instance was created using PrismaColor colored pencils as the medium of choice and they are gorgeous.
To begin the creative process I first aligned the stamp and black cardstock in my Misti stamping tool, and then utilized some VersaMark clear embossing ink along with some WoW! Silver embossing powder and my heat tool to heat set the image. I then used various colors of colored pencils for the blooms so that I could have different variations, which you will find in the gallery below.
Before I proceeded to the assembly phase I once again used the VersaMark and the WoW! Silver embossing powder to create my sentiment. For this series of cards I chose to use the “HOPE YOU FEEL BETTER SOON” sentiment from the Altenew Sentiment Strips collections, featured right.
The next step in the process was to trim the background to its final size and to mat it with this gorgeous die-cut frame, which reminded me of an antique picture frame, using some double-sided tape. I then repeated the process and adhered the composite to a pre-cut and folded A2-size white card base. To give the card a little extra dimension I utilized some flat-back black pearls. With that, I called the card complete.
