My Favorite Things Weekly Sketch Challenge
Good day fellow crafters. Below you will find my entry for this weeks My Favorite Things Weekly Sketch Challenge. This card was designed using the layout MFTWSK639, which you can find by visiting the link below my entry. I hope you enjoy it.
To create this card, I started with my usual pre-cut White A2 card base to which I double matted a piece of Black card stock with a deep Red and Black that was the same size as the card. I then adhered them to the card base. With that out of the way I created the focal point of the card by using White card stock, the MFT Rose in Bloom and the MFT Grande Greenery dies and my die cut machine.
Next was to add the color. In order to get the simmer I was looking for I decided to use Ranger Perfect Pearls and water to create my own water color and paint the pieces. The Rose was done using Forever Red while the Greenery was a combination of Perfect Pearls in Forever Green and Green Patina, as well as Lindys Magical Powder in Mint Green and Jaquard Pearl Ex in Apple Green.
I continued the black theme with the sentiment for this card. It was created using the MFT Bitty Thanks and Gratitude stamp set. I used some VersaMark clear ink and Ranger’s White Embossing Powder then heat set it. I then used the Honey Bee Sentiment Banners die set to cut to size and shape.
