Gnome Love
IG Valentine’s Day Hop - Week 2 - 2024
Good day, fellow crafters. Today I present my submission to week 2 of our IG Valentine’s Day Hop! Hop along with us as we spread the love until the end of February. DM @magymakes on IG if you’d like to join in!
Our theme this week has us diving into our stash and creating with Pattern Paper. I hope you.
For this cute Gnome card, I turned to the Gnome Love patterned paper pack where I found these two adorable images and the background paper. I carefully cut out the images and set them aside. I then faced the challenge of selecting the background paper. Let me tell you that this was a hard choice because this paper pack lacks duplicate prints and images are featured on both sides of the paper. Employing the Hearts embossing folder from Love Nicole and my Gemini die-cutting machine, I next embossed my background.
The next step was to assemble. I used a rectangular die from Hero Arts to cut out a coordinating pink mat as well as trim the background panel down to its final dimensions. I then adhered the background panel to the mat with Bearly Art liquid glue and then the composite was adhered to a white card base with double-sided adhesive. I then added my Gnomes with more liquid glue. The sentiment was created from some of the same pink cardstock as the mat, stamped with black ink from a set in my collection, and then adhered to the background panel with liquid glue. With that, I called the card complete.
