Sharing Fall Hop

Gratitude Attitude

Good day, fellow crafters. Today I am sharing with you my entry into this week’s Sharing Fall Challenge! This challenge is being hosted by @thatcraftygolden and you can find their page on Instagram, and is running from September 18th - November 19th. This week's theme revolves around having a Gratitude Attitude, which is important because, in our fast-paced world, it's easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of daily life, often forgetting to pause and appreciate the little things that bring us joy. If this theme sparks your creativity, join us in the fun! Don't forget to use the hashtag #sharingfallcards, as we can't wait to admire your creations. I hope you enjoy my submission to this challenge.

The design intent for this crafting challenge is to produce a five-card set with the theme of “Gratitude Attitude”. In order to accomplish this I first chose five identical sheets of paper and then measured and cut out the background panels. This particular paper was chosen because it is in a hue that I associate with fall and has the look of a suede fabric which gives it a “mental” texture before you even pick the card up.

The next stage was to heat up my Spellbinders glimmer plates for use, I have to do mine three times on my machine when I use them so you may need to experiment. Once everything was to the correct temperature I added the rose gold foil and carefully aligned my background panel. I then ran it through the die-cutting machine and after it was through, carefully removed the excess foil. I repeated this step for the rest of the cards.

Once the foiling was completed for all of the cards the next step was assembly. As you can see with this card I chose to use a card base with a smaller front flap to give the card a bit more interest. Finally, I adhered the background panels into place with double-sided tape. With that, I called the card complete.
