Have a Tweet Birthday

Good day fellow crafters. May I present a Tweet Birthday card that I created for someone special. This card was surprisingly simple but turned out to be really elegant. I hope you enjoy it.

To create this card I decided to use an embossing folder so I employed a technique that makes the process much cleaner. On the back of a piece of Periwinkle card stock, I misted the surface with three squirts of water which prevents the paper from cracking once pressed into the folder. I then placed the moist card stock into the Altenew Folk Birds 3D embossing folder and ran it through the press.

The next step was to cover the embossing with Cosmic Shimmer Metallic Guilding Polish in the color Pure Silver. Once dry I placed the image back into the embossing folder, making sure it was realigned properly and without added moisture, to crisp up the design. I then fussy cut around the image and placed it on another piece of the same Periwinkle cardstock. The Hero Arts Infinity Rectangular die set was then used to cut the background to its final size.

The sentiment was created using the Simon Says Stamps Bird-Day Tweetings stamp set with VersaMark ink to which I added the Tonic Fine Detailed Silver embossing powder and set it with my heat gun. To finish off the card after I matted it to a piece of silver card stock I adhered it to a pre-cut A2 white card base.
