Summer Blossoms
Good day, fellow crafters. Today I wanted to present a quick little supportive card that I created today and decided to enter into some card-making challenges hosted by the fine blogs shown above. I believe that sometimes, receiving a thoughtful surprise in the mail, with no particular reason or occasion, can truly brighten someone's day. So, I hope this card brings you joy and reminds you that you are cared for.
Creating this card was a simple and enjoyable process. First, I selected a piece of white cardstock, my Tonic Studio Blossoming Boquet stamp set, and some crisp black pigment ink. To ensure precise and bold lines, I used my Misti stamping tool to align the stamps and stamped them onto the cardstock a couple of times.
Next came adding colors! For this particular card, I opted for my PrismaColor colored pencils. Starting with lighter shades, I carefully applied the colors and gradually worked my way through to darker tones. This technique allowed me to create beautiful highlights and shadows on my image.
For the sentiment, I also chose the Blossoming Boquet stamp set and stamped it using the same black ink as the images. To add a touch of dimension, I decided to incorporate some flat-back gems at the center of each flower. These little gems served as lovely accents, adding extra sparkle and enhancing the overall look of the card.
Finally, it was time to put everything together. I trimmed the background panel to its final dimension and also cut a piece of complementary pink cardstock to serve as a mat. Then I carefully adhered both panels to a pre-cut A2 white card base.
Overall, the process of creating this card was straightforward and allowed me to express my creativity while focusing on details like bold lines, vibrant colors, and thoughtful embellishments. I hope you found inspiration in keeping it simple and the energy to make something today yourself.
