Good day, fellow crafters. Today’s cards are part of a card hop that includes talented fans that are featuring their favorite Stamptember sets from the past to the present. Please take a moment to visit each stop on the hop and be inspired by everyone’s amazing creation today! Follow #spectacularstamptember2023 for more or visit my Instagram page directly @forgetmenotcardco, find my post with these cards, and then follow the other participants listed in the description. For those that don’t know Stamptember is a month-long celebration of stamping, crafting, and card making started in 2010 by Simon Says Stamp. The event's purpose is to inspire the stamping community and is a lot of fun to participate in. I hope you enjoy my submission to this challenge.

Note: For these cards, the techniques that I describe in this blog were the same for both, the only thing that is different is the color scheme.

Since of course, Stamptember is sponsored by Simon Says Stamp, I dove into my SSS supplies to find just the right set to be my focal point. In this case, my heart settled on the Rose Reverie stamp set, featured left, because of the beautiful floral image and also because this set has a corresponding die set. Once I had my selection in hand I decided that since I really liked the delicateness of the image then my choice for adding color was going to be….you guessed it…water coloring. I then grabbed my Altenew watercolor pigments, some watercolor paper, and some black pigment ink and set to work.

To begin I trimmed my watercolor paper down to a workable size and then secured it into my Misti stamping tool. I next aligned, inked, and stamped my image onto the paper using even pressure. Once that was complete and the ink dry, the paper was seured to my work surface. I next wet the pigment colors I wanted to use and with a water brush pen meticulously painted in the image. After the color was applied I allowed them to dry thoroughly before using the corresponding die to cut the image out.

The next phase was to create the background panel. For this purpose, I decided that I would go with the Stitched Polka Dots die from Concord & 9th, featured right, and I am glad I did they turned out really well giving the card a little extra dimension in just the right way. I then trimmed a black mat for visual appeal and mounted the background panel to it with double-sided tape. Then that composite was adhered in the same manner to a white card base.

To finish the card off, I chose a sentiment from the Rose Reverie set, and with silver ink, stamped the image onto some black cardstock. I then utilized a die from my collection that reminded me of a stamp torn from a stamp sheet to cut the sentiment out. For added dimension, I used some foam dots to raise the sentiment off the card when I mounted it. With that, I called the card complete,
